Hi! Tell us about the creative minds behind Abu And Bulat.

Hello! Meet me, Cen and my two partners, Reinaldy Soekamto & Sally Lesmana. We launched the first collection on a year ago and have been managing our brand locally through online market.

The collection mostly appears on a transformed conventional shape to offer deeper meaning between the form and function. We develop the artistic practice by rough hand sketches, colour exploration, texture and material attempts to initiate unusual yet functional objects.

What are the inspiration behind your brand?

All realms are triggered from daily sights which are often overlooked. We believe each of them breathes a certain force — it encourages us on how we want to bring those realms to form into semi-surrealistic daily objects.

How would you describe Abu And Bulat collection in three words?

Unfeigned, shifting and offsetting.
