For Sashia Rosari, the young designer who founded local furniture brand —SORS — it is important to embrace our daily life since who knows when those stories become the beginning of the inspiration.
SORS Furniture was founded in 2018 and it doesn’t have to take so long until the brand become many favorites of the modern living fans. All the remarkable works was started from the simplicity of the life itself — as Sasha told Kisah Ruang.
Tell us about yourself.
Hi, I’m Sashia Rosari. I’ve been working as a furniture designer for the past 12 years. I founded my own furniture design company called SORS Furniture in 2018.
What are the inspiration behind SORS?
We wanted to create a furniture line that features ergonomic timeless forms and fine detailing. I often use my own life experiences to come up with a theme whenever we are to create a new range. As an example our first range was called 1st because it was inspired by my experience moving into my first home. We focused on creating essential pieces that are compact and accessible. For our upcoming range we were heavily inspired by our experience adjusting to life during the pandemic. Keep an eye out for our new range of furniture coming soon!
How would you describe SORS collection in five words?
Friendly, Laid-back, Pared-back, Thoughtful, Subtle.
